plain t shirts
By Kitty Malone

Plain T Shirts isn`t tailor made to wear; however there are some tailoring done to it in some form. Usually in form of words printed on front or back of the t shirt. Your Plain T Shirts is a good way to show your personality or even an occasion by having words or pictures printed on them. They have a saying in the business and it goes, `Your T Shirt can be totally personalised with your own choice of wording and or picture (including photographs). The only limitation is your imagination`. You choose your words, phrases or even pictures of your choice and have them printed out on your t shirt. We all have seen fans of a particular sport wearing t shirts boosting their individual players or their favorite teams. Your personalised t shirt need not be limited to sports only. As mentioned, when it comes to a personalised t shirt you can get anything printed on it. Thinking of what to write for that hen`s night round the weekend? How about the words, ?Susan`s Hen Night` or ?the blushing bride`, maybe you want your t shirt to be a bit more trendy and flashy as you market your business and opt to go for the words, `Joe`s diner`. It`s not just the words or phrases that you can have printed on your Plain T Shirts.

When I was a lad (and this was all fields), every high street in every town had its army surplus outlet the `army and navy stores`, or the `famous army stores`. I`m not absolutely certain why the one had a significantly larger amount of celebrity than the other and I can only presume that the senior service would not supply it. Never mind army surplus or even the naval refuse, what happened to the surplus from the Royal Air Force ? Or didn`t they have any? The odd Spitfire or Lancaster, perhaps ? Whatever happened to those wonderful leather and sheepskin flying jackets? I never saw one down the high street. I could really have gone for one of those. Likewise one of the leather caps with the spaniel ears for those chilly winter days. No, our trusty army surplus shop was the purveyor of all things practical. If you were looking for haute couture or designer labels (did we have those then?) you were most definitely in the wrong place. Who could face the wild and rainy British climate without an army issue rain cape in fetching khaki and made from 100% pvc? Likewise your local army surplus store could supply you with the ultimate in thermal socks and stout army boots, which made your feet thoroughly insensitive. Practical denim jeans were a popular line. Not exactly the kind of trouser that trendy youths of today would ever be seen dead in, these had very generous backside and ankle strangling lower leg measurements and were a snip at £3. Thankfully, army surplus is now a specialist industry.
